FFTNL TO PARTICIPATE IN DESTINATION CANADA 2012 JOB FORUM

 

St John´s, NL, October 29, 2012 – For the 6th consecutive year, the Fédération des francophones de Terre-Neuve et du Labrador (FFTNL) will be taking part in "Destination Canada 2012" in France and Belgium, which runs from November 13 to 17, 2012.

Destination Canada 2012 is a Francophone promotion and recruitment event which will provide participating employers with access to over 3,000 high skilled bilingual employees. The event is organized by Citizenship Immigration Canada and the Canadian Embassy in France, with help from public employment services and international mobility agencies: Pôle emploi international France, FOREM BIJOB (ACTIRIS), and VDAB in Belgium.

This year, the host cities are:

  • Paris: Tuesday 13, Wednesday 14 and Thursday, November 15, 2012
  • Brussels: Saturday, November 17, 2012

The FFTNL’s participation is a part of the efforts to preserve and enhance Francophone communities and culture in Newfoundland and Labrador, to promote the province in Francophone countries and to assist the recruitment and integration of Francophone newcomers.

Local employers who wish to participate are encouraged to contact the FFTNL as soon as possible. Employers who are interested in bilingual employees but are not able to participate may send their job descriptions to the FFTNL.

There are no administration, advertising or participation fees associated with this event. Fees that participants will be responsible for are airfare, accommodation, and meals. Please note that discounted airfare and an accommodation package will be offered to confirmed participants.
