The Association communautaire francophone de St-Jean (ACFSJ) is a not-for-profit corporation whose mission is to inspire and support the development and action of the francophone community in St. John's by means of the Centre scolaire et communautaire des Grands-Vents. The ACFSJ has as its vision that the Centre scolaire et communautaire des Grands-Vents become the primary focus for the development and action of the francophone community.
The ACFSJ offers many activities (badminton nights, yoga classes, BBQs and much more). Some of their activities may also be of interest to members of the general public, particularly those who would like to learn French. The association regularly offers French language courses and the Festival du vent, which takes place every year in November, is a community festival in the broadest possible sense.
