Created in 2018, Compas is the local service that supports Francophone newcomers in their settlement efforts in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador. It focuses on the development of lasting relationships and social inclusion in French, one of Canada's two official languages.

The activities organized by Compas encourage intercultural exchanges and the creation of close ties between Francophone newcomers and society as a whole. Through its work and involvement, it promotes the development of more stable and lasting relationships and the successful integration of Francophone newcomers.

Ultimately, Compas promotes the retention of immigrants in Newfoundland and Labrador, a province that recognizes the contribution of Francophone immigrants to the community and values the richness of Canada's cultural diversity.
