Published on April 13, 2021

The amendments to the Divorce Act came into force on March 1, 2021. In order to facilitate access to justice in French, the NL Francophone Justice Network is supporting a training session in French organized by the AJEF of Ontario, which aims to inform not only jurists but also the general public about these major amendments.

During this conference, the panelists (Me Paul Mongenais, lawyer Perras Mongenais, Me Gabrielle Beaulieu, lawyer Orbis Legal Services and the Honourable Jasmine Akbarali, Superior Court of Justice of Ontario) will discuss the important changes to the Act and the impact on litigants and justice professionals in family law matters.

This conditionally free* paid training will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2021:
- from 11:45 am to 1:00 pm (Labrador time)
- 12:15 - 1:30 pm (Newfoundland time)

Jennifer Daudlin, of Daudlin Law Professional Corporation, will facilitate the training.
