Newfoundland and Labrador's first Zero Waste Festival will be held on October 15 at the Centre des Grands-Vents.

Join the Association communautaire francophone de Saint-Jean and St. John's Tool Library for an innovative event celebrating sustainable growth, eco-conscious living and waste reduction, in English and French. The first Zero Waste Festival will be held in St. John's on October 15, 2023 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Centre des Grands-Vents (65 Ridge Road).

What to expect: Experience a day filled with interactive workshops, informative discussions and engaging activities focused on reducing waste and adopting eco-responsible practices. Expert speakers will share their knowledge and insights, and provide useful tips and methods to integrate into your daily life. Explore a market hosted by eco-responsible merchants offering sustainable products, alternatives to plastic, zero-waste essentials and locally sourced goods. Community involvement. Connect with like minded individuals, organizations and community groups who are passionate about the preservation of the planet. Bring the whole family and enjoy a range of family activities, including nature walks and educational games.
